Sorry for the lack of updates, I’ve been so busy with the business side to my photography.

Since my last update, I had a little up and down including a little self-doubt. I was questioning if photography was a right choice for me :-\. Though, I received some advices from friends, I knew that I had to get back into the groove on my own. I remember that the journey is not about coming to the finish line. The journey is continuously reminding yourself who you are and who you want to be. I had to set myself free from the earthy things in order for me to reach my artistic enlightenment.

I torture myself by having my eyes on the crystal ball.
Sometimes..I wish I was blind so I won’t see it anymore.
But it is there
Yet it is not here
Not just yet
So everyday I tried my best
To fight the monster that have a special effect
a virus that is call “like the rest”
maybe I should accept that after fighting for so long
i will become what i hate
the words that i spitted out will be the food that i ate

Though it’d became my best friend
a friend that lifted me
but also bruised me,
tortured me,
and caged me.
So yes I live my life in fear
I’m scare of it
but I still fight it
Without a weapon, knowing that it might win
but I believed that having hope is a sin.

Though the victory of the battles are always mine
I can only win the war if I were to become blind
Cuz I know that fear had disguised itself as the crystal ball
an object that I hold onto tight
and won’t allow it to fall
sigh…the irony

When I first started out as a “fashion” photographer, I did all the styling and the make-up concept myself. As my photography improved, I was blessed to collaborate with other people who specialized in the fields that I was ignorant to, such as styling, designing, and make-up. As a result, I was able to learn and truly understand the fashion world. Today, my knowledge of drawing inspirations, telling stories and voicing my opinion on the social changes through fashion has deepen. Before then I made all my models wore a simple cocktail dress or a button-up shirt with a pair of jean. Though I am back to being an one-man army, I took what I learn and applied it to this ongoing concept.

While it might be true that I feel like I am on a deserted island in this world of fashion (being that I am all by myself), I just see this as the real test to my survival and creative skill.
